19 Nov Hypnosis for Self-Confidence
Los Angeles and Beverly Hills Hypnosis for Improved Self Confidence
Even though the dictionary defines self-confidence as a feeling of trust in one’s abilities, qualities, and judgment, we all have our own personal definitions of confidence. For some people, self-confidence is about posture, body language, or tone of voice; for others confidence means a successful career or an active social life. No matter how you define it, if you are having self-confidence issues, there is a solution.
The good news is that although none of us is born with self-confidence, I believe that it resides in us all. Sometimes you just need a little help to bring it out. As Robert Kiyosaki says, ‘confidence comes from discipline and training’.
When we lack self-confidence, we experience social anxiety and risk becoming isolated. We may be less likely to stand up for ourselves or experience a sense of unworthiness. For example, we might feel like we don’t deserve that great relationship or financial success. As a result, we self-sabotage situations that keep us stuck and unable to move forward.
It is common for people with low self-confidence to have a poor self-image as well. These individuals see themselves much less favorably than others see them. They also experience negative self-talk, saying to themselves things such as “I don’t deserve that” or “I’m not good enough”.
Strengthening self-esteem helps resolve problems of depression, over-emotionality, victimization, substance abuse, eating disorders, grief, anxiety, worry, and anger – even in athletes and business executives.
Countless articles and studies link confidence with success. In more than 50 years of research, one thing is clear – self-confident people are more successful, willing to take risks and try new things. They are likely to recover more easily from failure. Studies also show that individuals with a high sense of self-efficacy perceive themselves as being in control – they are also more assertive, unafraid to hold their ground, and express how they feel or what they think.
Building Self-Confidence That Lasts
Where does self-confidence come from? How can you gain more of it in your life? That’s the journey we’ll take when we work together. We start by identifying your goals and what you want to get out of our sessions. I usually combine several approaches – cognitive therapy, life coaching, and hypnotherapy. We engage both the conscious and subconscious minds to help prevent falling back into old thought patterns that sabotage success over the long term.
We will work to identify the underlying causes of low confidence and self-esteem, which sometimes go all the way back to childhood. Lack of self-confidence and low self-esteem can also develop over time as a result of an unsupportive home or work environment. Once these underlying causes surface, the real work begins.
Through this unique combination of life coaching and hypnotherapy, you will begin to see powerful results. The change is incremental, meaning you’ll see small shifts occur. You will feel more motivated, willing to try new things, or more comfortable in social situations than you were before. These small shifts build on one another to establish a solid foundation of positive and lasting change. You will experience noticeable improvements in your moods, thinking patterns, career, and relationships, and in your ability to achieve your goals
